Now that we have completed our zines, I am able to look back on the artworks I have created and see how they lived up to my expectations. I am very pleased with the results of my zine. Some pages I am fonder of than others, like Art Angels and Apocalypse over Each Time You Fall in Love, which I think is very normal for an artist who is creating multiple pieces to experience. If I had some more time I would have definitely liked to tweak some of the works I was not too ecstatic about, but there are no images in my zine that I dislike and would want to remove. Some critique I got from my peers was that the Fancy Shoes page was slightly jarring compared to the psychedelic look of the rest of the images which I do not disagree with. It does feel simpler and slightly out of place juxtaposed against the other images. I believe for most songs, I achieved what I was aiming to. I think I was able to create solid visual representations of the feeling of songs and I think other people in the class also were able to understand my vision and what I was aiming to achieve. I very much enjoyed binding the books together with needle and thread and I think they came out really well. Overall, I am very pleased with the zine I have created!
