I am super excited to see how our exhibition turns out. For this project, I have decided to make a part 2, video version of my ‘Feeling of Songs’ zine from DA1. Ideally, I would like to do at least two songs but for the most part I am aiming for quality over quantity. My plan is to make a simple base video from a collection of stock footage and footage I have taken myself that captures the feelings I get when listening to these psychedelic songs. Then with Madmapper and other projection mapping techniques, I will overlay other trippy, colorful videos to enhance the experience these songs elicit. Although I haven’t exactly decided which object I will be using to project onto, I plan on taking trips to goodwill and other stores like Artparts to get inspiration from found objects. I have never used a projector before, so I am excited to learn and get the opportunity to display my artworks in an exhibition that is open to the public. Having the ability to take home one of the projectors to practice is very beneficial because I will be able to run my project many times and continue to alter it as I go to make sure I have a fully flushed out project without any problems on the real day of the exhibition. I am very eager to see how my final project will turn out. This is a very cool final project!
